Underworld

Underworld = dunia bawah tanah?? hahaha literally it means world beneath the earth hahahaha that was the translation in BM for that movie.

Sam and I went to watch Underworld. Well it's ok la lots of blood here and there. Wolves and vampires. Vampires ain't scary la whereas the wolves are like wolves. Overall it's just and OK to watch. More action...didn't know guns can kill vampires and wolves. High tech i guess

Aight...handed in four chapters today to me lecturer and he approved it all. Just need a little change here and there. woooohooooo

when can i go kayaking??? Juan!!! WHEN WHEN WHEN??

It's a beautiful Life

Gosh in another 2 more weeks my semester's finishing and I'm feeling very sad and excited. Nervous too and scared at the same time why? Still have so many things to do before I leave my beloved university!!!

Been wanting to go kayaking since thurs...but didn't get to go because was soo busy with my documentary video. Staying back in campus till the next day for the past few days and going back to continue it during the weekends...gee never thought i'd be doing that in my final year. THE paper which is only 3 credit hours seems like 40 credit horus to me!! NOt including individual asgmts like comments on a docu show and also a docu script..!()#^!&#^)!&*#^&@

Despite all my busy schedule right now...it's a time for a bonding session with my dear friends =) i actually had a wonderful time with them, staying over in campus, sleeping in the studio and even catching some movies in the studio. Yea we brought our own movies and played it there. Just like in a cinema with good sound system and projector. Reminds me of the times being home while watching movies at Aunty Viv's place. I also get to know my juniors better actually I'd refer to them as my friends than junior. A few of them are really nice and kind enough to stay up so late with us till early morning. Helping us to finish us the video. Thanks esp to Din!! ;) he's a cute guy and definitely a very very nice person.

Life's got to go on although I've been so very busy. It's a beautiful life...not gonna complain afterall.

Smart enough??

If you're smart enough, you know how to read the results. Apparently I can't change the font to white hohoho i'll leave it to ur reading

Obviously bored

Okiez....looks like I'm bored doing asgmts so I went and took a personality test. I get bored with doing things for too long....Well here's my result which I find it quite true hohoho

King
I'm not telling your actual score. Hmph!
King (or Queen) types are generally friendly and like to take care of people. Kings are organized and like everything to be in its place, in all aspects of life. Kings have a hard time tolerating deviance, but have big hearts and are usually understanding. They make good leaders due to their unselfishness. However, Kings have no problem living in luxury and accepting the good rewards they deserve. They are generally straightforward and honest and surrounded by lots of friends, even though they are not extremely outgoing.

The King's complement is the flashy, energetic Magician.

Busy and slacking at the same time

Haihz so many asgmts and a project paper to do at the same time is NO fun. Feeling sick and tired. Adding more to these is my documentary project which includes editing and shoots. Apparently we need to do a 33 mins documentary and right now after editing our footages, we only manage to come up with 16 mins....haihz gotta do more shoots again.

NOT going to count the asgmts that I need to finish coz I just don't feel like doing anything right now. Past few weeks, late nights arghhhh!!!!

Enough of whining now

My Weekend

I went and stayed over with Anna, one of my best mate from school at the Renaissance. She graduated yesterday!!! Congrats my dear....looks like it's only me left who's still in uni

We did the normal girls talk hohoho and took lots of snap shots in her camera. She was telling me about Liverpool and showing me most of the pics she took. I fell in love instantly with the pics she took in Paris and Disney Village.

AND not only did she tell me all about her trip to France and UK itself....it was also the shopping she did!! She bought a pair of suede boots for only UK$15, whereas her friends only bought theirs for UK$5 a belt for UK$1 and shirts for UK$5. SO SIAW!!! I mean don't convert what you earn in ringgit of course. Compare it one to one....it's SO CHEAP! Where on earth can you get a pair of boots for that price in KL?? They can even get a pair of runners for UK$20. Here you need at least RM200 to get one.

What else? Tour around Europe is sooo cheap too. Her friends went around Europe for only UK$ 599. AROUND EUROPE, few countries, FEW not one but more than two!! That includes accomodation!!! My goodness such a good deal! Since Anna's going back in April, I'll be visiting her once she settle down. Then we're going tour around Europe. I mean you can't even get that kind of price here to go around Europe. I told her we must go to Switzerland and get skiing lessons and France to Disney Village. And also to get one LV bag hohoho one tourist is only allow to buy one LV and they get a Cert with each LV purchase.

I always wonder why we can never get these good deals here *haih* That's why right now, if u want branded stuff, go to ur neighbouring country to get them. They give better deals and mostly newer fashions too. Trust me. Don't get cheated and shop smart. Even the cooking utensils like Tefal ( famous utensils brand) and Henckels ( famous for good knives with two man) are cheaper there than here.

Guess I'll make it a point to go where I've always wanted to go. Must.

18th Century

I was watching 'Pride n Prejudice' last night with Dion. Apparently we're both more into the sets, designs and costumes rather than the script and acting itself. I was fascinated by the huge mansions that people during that era lived in. If you're really rich, you're seriously filthy rich. With servants that served you, giving you the curtsy and bows, calling you madam/ladyship or even miss, riding in carriages...makes me wanna stay in the 18th century in one of those big mansion. The men at that time were gentlemen mind you, being polite when they speak to women unlike now...
They called the piano a piano forte and whoever can play piano forte are considered high ranking. What about now? It's now so common for ppl to play the piano forte.
I'd wish to go back and stay in the 18th century if I can. I can go for walks instead of car drives in the lovely green pastures and horse back riding in those dresses. Such granduer they have during that time.

Flat Out

The choir team won first place on Sat =) I was in tears when they announced the winner. Tears of joy in another words. The last time I joined choir, my team didn’t win any prize and I was soooo devastated and speechless. We did quite well but I guess it was the ‘curse’ that made us not get any placing at all not even a 5th place. They said that the team which performs first in the choir competition will never get a chance to win. And that year, it was true enough, we didn’t get anything. So it was the ‘curse’

Yesterday was a fantastic way to start off the week….waking up at 615am. Have to be in the campus by 7am coz it was my team’s turn to do our documentary shoots. So we waited for everyone to come only to find out that the technical staff will be there at 9am. !@^!)*&^!#^) And so, I suggested we all go for some breakfast while we wait. So we eat and chat and talked till 9am.

Then we started our shoot….Lugging a 24KG baby around is NO JOKE!!! The lecturer asked us to use the DV instead of the 3 CCD so we had no choice. I pity Boon, the only guy in my team coz he’s the one who had to hold the camera most of them aka cameraman. No choice….he’s the strongest and the girls, we just don’t have that much energy to lug that baby around our shoulder. It’s a documentary so we hardly use the tripod which was also another heavy baby!!

At the end of the day….we all did had fun although it was quite tiring. Running around the campus…gosh I miss those days when I was an intern. Minus the books and studies of course at that time.

Anyways, my shoulders are aching coz the girls and I had to hold the camera from time to time to relieve Boon. We took turns handling the camera or else he’ll pengsan then if no one were to help him.

Today, I’ve been sitting in front of my beautiful square screen typing since 8am in the morning and it’s like 3.40pm.

Sze Hui flat out!

Music language

Today was the last practice before the competition which will take place later in the afternoon. Everyone's pretty nervous and excited. First, this is the first time in UM history where they've changed the competition way. We have to go through preliminary rounds first before we get into finals, which will be held at night. So everyone's pretty nervous. We only have one chance to go ONLY. If we don't get throught the preliminary then that's the end of us.....

And so before we offically close our practice for the year, everyone had to share. One of the junior shared this. He has no musical background or whatever. He said that he went for the audition for choir without knowing that choir is where ppl sing. He thought that choir was acting. That already got us laughing dy but this was the BEST!!! And so he thought it's singing not acting, so with confidence he thought since he could sing already why not just go for the audition. Fill up the form and go for it. When he entered, he was asked to sing. They were testing his vocal limits so he was singing happily suddenly the pianist said F. To his horror, he said 'what? I FAILED? How can I fail singing?' He was shocked. Didn't ask much but just walked out of the room. When the first list of those who were selected to join the choir was out, he was shocked to find his name there. Then he kept that incident behind him.

Today, he shared about it, asking us what does F mean coz until today he didn't understand why he had failed his singing and yet was selected into the team. Then we all burst out laughing explaining to him that F was his range...the lowest range he can go. But to the poor boy he thought all these while he had FAILED singing. ahahaha i was laughing til my tummy aches. It's funny to see hear ppl without muscial background and the way they interpret music language.

I am pretty nervous about the competition tomorrow. I pray everything goes well for me as well as my team mates. It's been a while since I last played in big crowds. All the best to missy and team!!!
