A week's break

I'm now having a week's break for Hari Raya!!!

Cool huh??

It's been already a month since I came back and I am still loving it =)

Went up to brunei today and bought a curling tong!!! So happy with it tho I never used it before hahaha

hmm...nothing much to say lar hahaha

Updates updates

Being a teacher is fun and yet challenging. The kids are challenging to handle...need special skills to handle them. They are still childish in their mindset but yet still want to be treated as an adult. What to do...rebellious kids are at this age haha
I was once their age so can think what they are thinking actually =) They aren't like college kids where they will keep really quiet in class, these are like monkeys on the loose as if first time out of the cage so need something like TOYS to distract them. Of course, I don't bring toys for them, I distract them with HOMEWORK! hahaha no wonder teachers always give us lots of homework to do while in class sheesh haha My homework has to be done in class right and then and time is given so they feel the anxiety!

Also, being a teacher makes me feel 'big' and 'special'. When I walk on the walkway, students will greet and also make way for me so I go first. Parents addressing me as teacher, cikgu and 'lau shi'(in mandarin). In another words, tho these students are naughty, they still show respect to their teachers. It is always very funny to see students who talk so loud to friends and when asked to answer questions, they become totally silent! This has been going on for years even during my years hahaha

It's fun I must say...totally a different experience to begin with =) My students are fun.

FAMILY

FAMILY means FATHER AND MOTHER I LOVE YOU!!!!

Sometimes, it's just so funny that we are always very nice/polite/courteous with strangers but not with our family members.

Do you know that if we die tomorrow, a company can replace us within few days but in a family, our place can never be replace?

And so life in Miri Starts

It's been about a week plus since I came home. I am liking it to the max everyday! tho there are a few things I have to say...

1. I am teaching Form 3 and 4 Geography

2. Drivers in Miri drives really slow! haha it is so different from KL. Most 80kmph. Of course, I am stuck to this limit because if I go too fast, the road isn't as smooth as highways in KL and another, because mum is in the car so I have to drive safe

3. Everywhere around Miri is so near to each other. Tho parking sometimes is hard but then everything is so nearby that you can park at ONE parking spot and walk.

4. Everywhere I walk, I use an umbrella! So different compare to KL as this I couldn't be bothered at all but here, I'm using it. Just like a princess hahaha

5. I HAVE A CAR TO DRIVE AROUND!!! NO more relying on public transport or friends coz I feel bad asking their help. I can go anywhere I want.

6. BRUNEI here I come....can resume the shopping in KB like before

Home at last

Finally back at home =) Packed all my life in KL and now I'm back in Miri.

Pretty quiet compared to KL life, life here is so slow. Unlike in KL, everyday is a rushed even on a weekend.

I am missing ONE UTAMA, GSC etc right now. Even secret recipe hahaha gosh, gotta get use with all this.
