Mushroom Soup

Okie dokie I cooked mushroom soup today with my cousin!!! It was execellent! It tasted just the same like what Nana Kou Kou (she's a lecturer with stamford college and runs a small cafe in kuching for western food) taught us. So Nana Kou kou is a chef and yes she cooks lovely lamb shank, mushroom soup, char kueh teow (yummylicious)

We bought the ingredients last night. And we went into action this morning. Chop all the main ingredients into cubes and slices. Then cooked it. It went well with the stir fry and butter melting BUT both of us couldn't remember what's next. Had to call up our aunt back in Kuching, Auntie Moi to ask her what's the next thing to do. Obviously, she had a good laugh at us hahaha Nevertheless, it went alright hehehe

After stir fry, we're just suppose to blend the ingredients. So we did but it came out 'too' green hahaha coz I realised that we've forgotten to measure. We just throw the mushroom, celery and onions in and stir fry hahaha celery and onions should be less than mushroom but we just threw everything in hahahaha

Oh well then we stir fry the remaining mushroom which was left for spaghetti so the soup wouldn't look that green (it DOES tassste like mushroom mind you although it's bit green) hehehe

It didn't take us long to cook...just probably about an hour. We finished everything including the spaghetti at about 12.30pm..just in time for LUNCH!!!

WE HAD A NICE YUMMYLICIOUS LUNCH WITH MUSHROOM SOUP!!!

White water rafting and Abseiling

White water rafting and Abseiling are awesome!!!! I had a faboulous time during the Hari Raya break =)

Went to Gopeng, Perak for these two awesome activites with a few friends. There were about 16 of us, Thanks to Gerald and Juan for organising it. Aunt Mimi and Hock came along too hehe A lot of them thought that Aunt Mimi was my sister (she was sooo happy when she heard that). My friend think that my aunt was so cool to join us on this trip hehehe she and I are the kind who loves adrenaline rush kind of activities *winks*

And so we met at Centre Point at about 7am, had breakfast and then left for Gopeng. Each car was equipped with a walkie talkie. It was fun to have it in the car as we communicate along the way. Gerald was singing Xmas song lol and in the end, Juan had to take charge hahahah

Arrived Gopeng at about 10am then started off with abseiling. We have to descend from about 45 meters, not so high la...best part is, we desecend next to a waterfall!!! Cool huh!!! I slipped 3 times!!! It was sooo irritating. My slippers has no friction and everywhere I stepped, I slipped. To make it even harder for me to pull myself up, the water was gushing onto my face!! Ppl down there gasps when they saw me slip (my aunt told me that). Sam, was the cutest, he falls with style. Each time he slipped, he laughed, turn to look at us and gave us a peace sign while hanging in the air hahaha Nevertheless, I went for the 2nd time. And this time, I did well. Only one slip hahaha coz I was pratically sliding down with my slippers hahaha

After the abseiling, we went for the white water rafting!!! It was sooooo fantastic. So, the 4 of us (me, Aunt Mimi, Hock and Haibee) went into one dinghy. Our pilot was King. He was good. Very experienced guy. The first person to fell off was Hock. All 3 of them get to fall off the dinghy but I didn't which was quite sad coz I was expected to be thrown out of the dinghy hahahaha We did body rafting too hahaha it was cool but the water was extremely COLD!!! Like ICED water but it was a nice feeling.

Water level was good. Got stuck a few times among big rocks but didn't have to get down to push it. Just jump and jump and move to the back hahaha We even did a 360 turn hahaha around, was quite dizzy after a few rounds lol Everytime when someone fell into the water or we go down a slope, we are always laughing and giggling away. It's just sooo funny to see ppl fall off and trying to get them back inside the dinghy again. Haibee was thrown off the dinghy when we went 'boom boom' which means our pilot purposely hit us onto something like bumper car and we had to sit in the middle to protect ourselves. But the pilot's warning of 'boom boom' came too fast and we are slow to react, Haibee was just flung into the river...she was swept down the river quite a distance.

I love white water rafting =) there will sure be a next time for this hehehe

I came back with all my limbs and hands in good condition. Just a few bumps and scracthes here and there from the slips I had during abseiling.

Cooking cooking cooking

hehehe I'm not a person who likes to cook but today is just the day! hahaha Cooked corn soup (didn't taste like home or hua chin's style, can't figure out what I didn't put in...), long beans (almost burnt tho coz I left the fire to strong)and maggie mee hehe main ingredients EGGS in all three dishes lol that's like umm 3 chickens I've killed!!! YIKES!!!

Overall, my 3 dishes didn't taste very nice la...it's quite tasteless hahaha don't ask me why ar coz I cannot figure out why...I thought I put enough salt but looks like it's not but it's still ediable =D

After all my effort in cooking today....I am really really appreciate mum who always cook eventhough she's working. The hassle to go and buy vegetables at the market, pork at the pork stall and later come home and cook. It's just too exhausting for me!!!! I never complain about mum's cooking coz I ALWAYS LOVE IT AND FOREVER hehehe
I also appreciate those who always wanna cook. I lurveee guys who can cook hahaha

Having a family is not easy....so many things you have to take care of and cooking is one of it. If I were to have one, a maid must be at my side la to help me hehe I'll just like cook and then later just say 'Mina, tolong cuci ya' hehehe have all the ingredients ready for me and I don't have to go market hehe That's what I call REAL COOKING hahahahah

Time to blog!!!!

hahahaha yes yes Paul saw ur tag and I'm bloggin now...miss my news eh hehehe

I've been quite busy for the past week...As you'd know esp Paul...I was back in Kuching for the weekend ;) I had a lovely lovely time back. Once both my sis and I touch down, put our luggage back at home then we(about 10 of us) went out for supper. What did I order??

1. KOLOK MEE
2. LAKSA (unbelivable at that hour which was 11PM) - normally can't find laksa at that hour.
3. CHICKEN WINGS
4. DRIED WANTON

OMG....what a heavy meal!!! Not only that the next day...had this wonderful fried bee hoom with 'mani chai'(local vegetables from the jungle) After the fried bee boon..we went for a 2nd round of breakfast at the local coffee shop which was like 10am!!

THEN at 1PM...lunch at home!! Good thing the tummy was well rested for a few hours before the dinner at 7PM!!!

Jeezz...it's basically EATING EATING!!! My sis and I ordered food like we were starving here in KL hahaha just on the table alone..there's always kolok mee, laksa, fried kueh teow with tomato ketchuo *slurp* I even get to eat CENDOL!!! ALAMAK!! what a wonderful time!

My 'vacation' had to cut short...wish I could stay on longer but I had to work =(

I had shoots yesterday and today. Went to Tadika Littlefoot. You know somehow kids at the age of 3 to 5 years old are adorable. ONCE they hit age 6!!! They're quite irritating!!! I must not be so judgemental just by one tadika(kindergarten) but honestly, I never find 6 years old kids here(MALAYSIA) fun. They're always rebelling. Feel like giving them a slap! HAH!

BUT when I was in Melbourne with my cousins, they're soooo cute hehehe very well behave and soft spoken. They don't argue much at all. They OBEY!!! My cousins can talk soooooooo well for their age at that time but kids here(malaysia) can't talk that much at all!! It's like answering question. Can't even tell a story...or their fav story! Overall they're not vocal! hahaha

Anyways...few kids that I like during the shoot..can say my favourite is Joel, Ibi and Haikal. Joel is sooo funny!!! Asked him to explain about sea creatures, he was pointing at the shark. Joel : 'the shark has many colours'. His friend replied : 'shark don't have many colours' hahahaha and when he says electric eel it sounds like electic eel....gotta seperate the elec TICK eel hahaha Then asked him to name some dinosaurs...T REK, rhinocerous?? hahahahaha

wow....this is a VERY long one I'm blogging hahaha

Can't wait till next week!!! It's the raya holiday!! *YAY* I'll be going white water rafting and abseiling! Umm I don't know why is it call WHITE water rafting...let me go and then I'm able to tell you hehehe

Aight...time to watch HOUSE!!

ciao!!!!

Amused

I have been visitng few kindergartens lately for the 123 programme. Just yesterday, we went to visit Tadika Littlefoot coz we will be conduction our shoot there next week. Just want to get familiarise with the children there so they won't feel very foreign to us next week. We asked some qs to the kids. There's this little call called Ibi, who was telling us about her cat. She told us how she feed, bathe and why her cat loves fish. Then, Angela asked her to bring a photo of her cat next week. She said okay.

Then today, the principal called up Ibi's mum to asked her to bring a photo of her cat. And guess what??? They don't have a cat!!!!! hahaha Ibi was telling us her 'imaginary cat' all this while!!! sooo cute of her. I am really amused by it. I couldn't help but laugh when the principal told me that Ibi doesn't have a cat!! hahaha Very smary of her to tell a story of her 'cat' when there isn't any 'cat' at all hahaha

Two days back...I went for a musical at the Actor's Studio. Enjoyed an acapella by the Lit Performers!!! They were good. I feel in love with Fang's voice. She's really a good singer. Love her mellow and sultry voice...wish to hear her voice again.

Some things that we never realize

There are so many things put there that we always complain about. But I guess right now, we all should appreciate it instead =) take your time and read it through and be thankful what's around you and what's happening to you.

Be thankful :

FOR THE WIFE
WHO SAYS IT'S HOT DOGS TONIGHT,BECAUSE SHE IS HOME WITH ME,
AND NOT OUT WITH SOMEONE ELSE.

FOR THE HUSBAND
WHO IS ON THE SOFA
BEING A COUCH POTATO,BECAUSE HE IS HOME WITH ME
AND NOT OUT AT THE BARS.

FOR THE TEENAGER
WHO IS COMPLAINING ABOUT DOING DISHES, BECAUSE IT MEANS SHE IS AT HOME,
NOT ON THE STREETS.

FOR THE TAXES I PAY
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I AM EMPLOYED.
(don't you think this part is soo true? Everyone complains how high taxes they're paying everytime)

FOR THE MESS TO CLEAN AFTER A PARTY
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE, BEEN SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS.

FOR THE CLOTHES THAT FIT A LITTLE TOO SNUG
BECAUSE IT MEANS, I HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT.
(Girls out there, don't ever complain you are fat. There are ppl who doesn't have anything to eat at all)

FOR MY SHADOW THAT WATCHES ME WORK
BECAUSE IT MEANS, I AM OUT IN THE SUNSHINE

FOR A LAWN THAT NEEDS MOWING,
WINDOWS THAT NEED CLEANING,
AND GUTTERS THAT NEED FIXING
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE A HOME.
(Imagine the homeless)

FOR ALL THE COMPLAINING
I HEAR ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT
BECAUSE IT MEANS
WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND WORSHIP.

FOR THE PARKING SPOT
I FIND AT THE FAR END OF THE PARKING LOT
BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM CAPABLE OF WALKING
AND I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH TRANSPORTATION.

FOR MY HUGE HEATING BILL, BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM WARM.
(Should you complain that your bills are high and Tenaga Sdn Bhd overcharge you?)

FOR THE LADY BEHIND ME IN THE HALL
WHO SINGS OFF KEY BECAUSE IT MEANS
I CAN HEAR.

FOR THE PILE OF LAUNDRY AND IRONING
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR.

FOR WEARINESS AND ACHING MUSCLES
AT THE END OF THE DAY
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN
CAPABLE OF WORKING HARD.

FOR THE ALARM THAT GOES OFF
IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS
BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM ALIVE
(please don't ever get up grumpy again...what if you can't wake up one morning? It may be good when you're old but what about now?)

Please be thankful with what's happening to you now =)

123...here we gooo

Okie dokie I'm officially in 123 right now assisting Angela. Which means dealing with toddlers this time from 1 to 6 years old. Gonna be quite interesting as the 3 hosts are fun!!!

Jakun has been postponed to next year due to the rainy season. The place, Kampung Peta in Endau Rompin which was selected for the shoot usually gets flooded up to 13 meters high which is like up to the roof top if we were to built the set there. And yes, we will be building the set as it was set in the year 1965. The shoot was suppose to be in Nov and Dec has to be postpone coz it usually rain n rain and will cause flood. It's a risky business so they decided to shift it to next year march.

So right now...I'll be dealing with kids oooo i'm soo excited to see those who can act and those lovable kids around hahaha

Need to go visit kindergartens soon...*yay*
